Sam Josepher has helped people achieve their personal goals for over twenty years.
An expert in restoring harmony and balance, Sam has worked with noted actors and public figures such as John Cleese, John Turturro, George Soros, the Kennedy and Rockefeller families.
But what truly makes her so effective in motivating and guiding life transformations is that she has transformed her own life many times.
A common thread in her many-layered life is meditation. For thirty years, Sam has been a student and teacher of meditation. She calls it “the antidote to shrinking from life and a way to grow our moment to moment awareness so we do not miss the many opportunities that present themselves.” She credits her practice of mindfulness meditation for being able to tune into her own guiding voice, dare to shine, live her dreams, and re-invent herself many times in many ways. As a result, Sam’s life has been rich in personal experience and successful careers.
After studying biology and physiology in college, Sam joined the military. In the US Army, she received training that gave her indispensable lessons in setting objectives and reaching goals.
Upon her discharge, Sam spring-boarded into a hospital administration career where she was promoted four times in four years. Subsequently, she moved to the private sector. Sam served as a project manager in the technology industry and later as a trainer for a Fortune 500 company.
In 1988, Sam became a mom. In that same year, she co-founded Exponents, a highly recognized non-profit organization in New York City focused on recovery from addiction. There, Sam wrote and taught motivational seminars that renewed and inspired over 8700 people to transform their lives, finish their education, and start promising careers.
Sam’s work is interactive and uses various techniques to transfer skills and translate important lessons into personal experiences. Her practice integrates the spiritual principles of compassion, acceptance, faith, gratitude and contentment while weaving together powerful lessons and information on communications, the laws of attraction, stress reduction, anti-aging and so much more. Sam has presented her concepts before audiences of professionals, persons in a recovery process, individuals who have little work experience, middle management, executive leadership, college students, and even the incarcerated. Her unique approach to behavior change was featured in “Getting Unhooked,” an article in the October 2003 issue of Alternative Medicine Magazine.
Described as a true renaissance woman by friends and family, Sam has developed her creative side by studying Japanese Ikebana (flower arranging) and Sumie art, archery, sculpting and acting. Her focus on her acting craft led Sam to be signed with a film agent. Within three years of taking the first step toward a life dream, she was appearing in films and on television and became a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
As a Coach, Sam works with career women and men, persons in life transitions, new parents, young adults, moms who have chosen to stay at home, musicians and actors. She believes in making her work accessible and affordable. She is a trained teacher of meditation and certified as a coach by the Life Coach Institute.
A lifelong learner, Sam completed her Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 2005.
